Windows shell scripting


I work for a company that provides a search and discovery layer for (mainly) public Library catalogs. We deploy this on Windows Servers so in order to get things done on these servers I also resort to Windows shell scripting from time to time. One of the few good video tutorials I found on line is one by TonyStarkTS.
I made a play list of his tutorial. See below.


Here is a simple batch file that I run with the windows task scheduler.

A great resource I use all the time as a reference for shell scripting is ss64.com. For above script I referenced their CMD page many times.
I think that I will be looking more into VBScript and Powershell as well. Here is a nice video tutorial to get me started with VBScript.
